The quickest way to delete your data is to close your account. You can also use the contact form.

What's deleted

  • Your email, name and sign-in methods.
  • Your team memberships, single sign-on links, API keys and connected apps, and your saved card.
  • Your phone number. A one-way hashed copy stays for 12 months (it can be matched but not read back), so the number can't be reused to sign straight back up.
  • Your tags, notification settings and devices.
  • The data from your ID checks, held by Stripe, our identity provider. We ask Stripe to delete it, including the face match it keeps to stop duplicate accounts (a record used to compare faces, not your photos).
  • Touch and timing signals.
  • Images you uploaded with a question.

What stays

  • Your answers, no longer linked to you, because they're part of other people's results.
  • Payment records, invoices, statements and tax details, for six years after the tax year, because the law requires it. The backup copy is kept for the same period. They're kept securely and used for nothing else.

How long it takes

There's a 30-day grace period in case you change your mind; then everything in the deleted list above is removed. A backup copy can keep a deleted file for up to 24 hours after we delete the original. We email you when it's done.

In You, then Privacy, data and appeals, choose Withdraw ID check consent. We ask Stripe to delete the data from your checks, including its face match, and you move to Tier 1.
