We keep what we need to run 50heads, pay people and stop fraud, and no more. We don't collect your location or contacts, we don't track you across other apps or sites, and we don't sell data.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Email, name, sign-in method | Your account | While your account exists |
| Phone number | One person, one account | While your account exists; a one-way hashed copy (it can be matched but not read back) for 12 months after |
| ID and face photos, and details read from your ID (Tier 2) | Checking identity | Not kept by us. We ask Stripe to delete them when the check ends; Stripe says this can take up to 4 days |
| Face match (a record used to compare faces, not your photos) | Stopping duplicate accounts | With Stripe, for no longer than 1 year, or until you withdraw consent |
| Tier 2 result and age band | Your tier | While your account exists |
| Touch and timing signals | Spotting scripts and farms | 90 days; summary patterns up to 24 months |
| Answers | Requesters' results | As long as the result is kept; never shown with your name |
| Images you upload with a question | The question | While your account exists, then deleted after the 30-day closure grace. A backup copy can keep a deleted file for up to 24 hours |
| Tags you choose | Targeted questions | Until you remove them |
| Payments, statements, tax details | The law | Six years after the tax year, including the backup copy |
| Support messages | Helping you | Two years |
Who we share it with
Only the companies that help us run the service (hosting, payments, payouts, identity checks, email and text messages), under contracts that limit what they can do with it. They're listed on our subprocessors page. Tax authorities get what the law requires.
Requesters never see who answered.
AI and your data
We don't use your questions, the answers you buy or the reasons heads write to train AI models, and we don't sell them. What we do use AI for, and where it runs, is in AI and your data.
Analytics
The public website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn't track you. If you accept analytics cookies in the banner, the website and portal also use Google Analytics; you can change that any time in Cookie settings at the foot of the page. The app sends a few named events, such as "question answered", tied to your account and nothing else.
The full detail is in our privacy notice.
