How a price is worked out
Each answer costs the tier's price, adjusted for how long the question takes to read and the kind of answer it asks for. Then it is multiplied by the number of heads.

- Up to 150 characters to read: × 1.0. Up to 300: × 1.1. Longer: × 1.25.
- Format
- Pick one, A or B, yes or no, a 1–5 scale: × 1.0. This or that, pick several: × 1.1. Ranking: × 1.3. Free text: × 2, Tier 2 and up.
- Images and audio
- Each image or sound clip adds 5p an answer.
- Rush
- Answers in under an hour: × 1.5.

Questions about pricing
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy credits when you need them and spend them an answer at a time.
What if fewer heads answer than I asked for?
You pay only for the answers you get. If a question closes short, the rest goes back to your balance straight away.
Can I cancel a question?
Yes, while it is live. Answers already given are paid for and the rest is refunded to your balance.
How much goes to the heads?
70% of every answer's price goes to the head who gave it. A Tier 1 answer pays them 8p.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes, with every purchase. 50heads isn't registered for VAT yet, so the price you see is the price you pay. EU businesses with a valid VAT number are reverse charged.
Why do you show prices in my currency?
Prices are set in credits, and 1 credit is 1p. We show other currencies at the day's rate so you know roughly what you'll pay; checkout charges the currency you pick.
