Verification at sign-up isn't enough on its own: phones and accounts change hands. So checks keep going.
Tier 1: confirm your phone once a month
If you earned anything in the last 30 days, we'll ask you once, at the start of a session, to confirm the same phone number with a code.
If the number no longer works, you'll move to Tier 0 until you verify a new one. Earnings already made aren't affected.
Tier 2 and 3: ID and a live face photo
About every six months, before a question, the app asks you to photograph your government ID and take a live face photo, the same check as Tier 2. It can also happen sooner if you add a payout method that was not already on file, or if we review the account. It is not a three-second selfie, and it does not take another fee from your earnings.
Missing it three times is reviewed by a person, who may move you down a tier. The app does not drop you on its own.
Other times we ask
- Signing in on a new phone, or after reinstalling the app: confirm your phone with a code. This is not another ID check.
- Changing country: confirm your phone with a code. This is not another ID check.
- Adding a payout method that is not already on file: confirm your phone, and at Tier 2 photograph your ID and take a live face photo. Adding the same destination again does not ask.
Why this matters
These checks help us keep to one account per phone at Tier 1, and one account per verified identity at Tier 2.
