Credits
You pay in credits. 1 credit is 1p. You buy them up front and spend them per answer. We show other currencies at the day's rate so you know roughly what things cost; the credit price is what counts.
The price of a question
Per answer = tier price × length × format, plus images, × rush. Then × the number of heads.
- Tier: 12 credits at Tier 1, 30 at Tier 2, 60 at Tier 3.
- Length: up to 150 characters to read × 1.0; up to 300 × 1.1; longer × 1.25.
- Format: × 1.0 for pick one, A or B, yes or no and scales; × 1.1 for this or that and pick several; × 1.3 for ranking; × 2 for free text.
- Images and audio: + 5 credits an answer each.
- Rush: × 1.5 for answers within the hour.
Fifty Tier 1 answers to a short question with two images cost $13.97. The estimator works it out as you type and never charges anything.
When you're charged
When you ask, the full price is reserved from your credits. As heads answer, it's spent. When the question closes:
- if every head answered, you've paid the full price;
- if fewer answered, the rest comes straight back;
- if you cancel, answers already given are paid for and the rest comes back.
No subscription
There's no monthly fee and no minimum spend beyond the smallest pack.
