A team has one balance of credits that all its asks spend. It is separate from anyone's own balance.

See the balance

Switch to the team with Switch account on the website, or Ask as in the app (Just you goes back to your own account). The Credits page then carries the team's name and shows the team's balance. Every role in the team can see it.

Buy credits for the team

With the team selected, credits you buy on Credits go into the team's shared balance, and the invoice goes to the team's own billing details, shown under Billing. Owners, admins and billing members can buy; members and viewers cannot.

The ledger and invoices on those pages cover the team's money. Monthly statements are for personal accounts.

Automatic top-up is for personal accounts. A team's balance does not top itself up, so someone with the billing role needs to buy more when it runs low. See buying credits and invoices and VAT.

What a monthly limit counts

An owner or admin can give each member a limit in credits a month (how). It counts the credits that member's questions in the team took this calendar month, less what came back as refunds. It does not count questions asked from their own account.

When a question would go over, it is refused before any credits are spent. The message says what the question costs, what is left of the limit, and that it resets on the 1st. The same goes for adding heads to a question.

Limits are per member. There is no limit on the team as a whole other than its balance.

Usage

Owners, admins and billing members can see how many questions each member asked and what they spent in a month, on the Team page under Usage. Only owners and admins can change limits.

Keys and apps

An API key or connected app made for a team spends the team's credits, within its own daily cap. See spend caps. Service accounts for agents and scripts are in Service accounts.
