How many heads
A head is a person who answers questions on 50heads. Fifty is the default because it suits many quick choices and comes back in about ten minutes. Whether it is enough depends on how costly a wrong decision would be and how close you expect the options to be.
- 20–30 suits a quick gut check or a free-text follow-up.
- 50 is a reasonable starting point for a choice between two to four options.
- 100–200 helps when options are close, when a wrong choice would be costly, or when you want to compare groups.
- On the web you can ask up to 5,000; in the app, up to 500.
More heads take longer. The estimate shows the cost and time together before you ask.
Which tier
A tier tells you how the person answering has been verified.
- Tier 1 (€0.25 an answer): people with a verified phone number. Right for names, creative and quick first impressions.
- Tier 2 (€0.50): people who have verified their ID. Use it for free-text answers and for ages taken from the ID check.
- Tier 3 · Established (€0.95): established heads, who have a long record of careful answers. They answer first, so results arrive fastest.
Rush
Tick Rush for answers within the hour. It costs 1.5 times as much.
If fewer heads answer
Sometimes a question closes before it's full, for example a targeted question with a small pool overnight. You pay only for the answers you get; the rest goes back to your balance, and the result shows how many answered.
