Automated checks decide a lot on 50heads: which answers count, which accounts can keep answering, which tier a head is on. People affected by those decisions deserve to know how often we get them wrong. Each quarter we publish:
- appeals received, by kind (rejected answers, tier changes, failed ID checks, closed accounts);
- appeals upheld;
- the median time to a decision;
- questions refused under the acceptable use policy, by category.

50heads opens to heads in October 2026, so the first report covers our first full quarter.
How decisions are made
- Answers are checked for device attestation, timing and known-answer accuracy before they count.
- Accounts are reviewed when signals suggest several accounts are run by one person or by automation. A person confirms before any account is closed or any earnings are clawed back.
- Tiers go down automatically when re-checks are missed or accuracy falls; they go up when a head verifies.
We don't publish the exact thresholds, because that would help people get round them. Any head can ask for a person to review a decision through appeals.
