Someone shared a 50heads link with you: one question, about five seconds, answered in the browser. You do not need an account, and nothing on the page asks who you are.

Who asked

The person or organization who made the link. If they chose to show a name, it is at the top of the page ("Acme asks"). 50heads did not pick you and does not know you. The link reaches whoever the requester sent it to.

What 50heads keeps

  • Your answer: the option you chose, the order you put things in, or where you tapped. Nothing you typed, because the page has nothing to type into.
  • A small cookie on that link's address, so the page knows you have already answered. It holds no name and nothing about you, and it is not used anywhere else on the site.
  • A scrambled network signal (your connection and browser, hashed with a key that changes daily) for 90 days, so one person cannot answer many times. It cannot be turned back into an address, and it is cleared after 90 days.
  • A short check that you are a person, run by Cloudflare, so the link is not filled by a script.

What 50heads never has

Your name, email, phone number or account. Who you are to the requester. Anything from your device beyond the answer itself.

Who sees your answer

The requester sees how everyone answered, as a count for each option, and each answer on its own without anything about who gave it. If the requester chose to, you see the same bars after your own answer. No one, including the requester, sees who answered.

Answers that come through a link are not verified by 50heads, and every result the requester sees says so.

If something is wrong

If the question is offensive, misleading or asks for something it should not, tell us. Include the link. We look at every report, and a question that breaks the content policy is closed and refunded.
