Heads answer on their phones, often in public, in a few seconds. Some questions show things people should be able to choose not to see. Here is how that works.
Never allowed
We refuse these outright, whatever the flag. Nothing is charged.
- Sexual content and nudity.
- Hate symbols and attacks on people for who they are.
- Threats, or encouraging violence or self-harm.
- Asking heads for personal data, such as phone numbers or addresses.
- Trying to sway how people vote.
- Questions about a named private person.
Allowed with a flag
These can be asked, but only heads who turned the category on see them, and each one shows a warning first.

If you ask
Pick the flag in the composer, or send contentFlag through the API (content_flag in the MCP). If the words look like one of these and there's no flag, we ask you to add one before the question goes out. A flag doesn't change the price, but fewer heads see the question, so it can take a little longer. A moderator can change a flag.
If you answer
In the app, go to You, then Settings, then Sensitive content. Medical, violence and distressing start off; alcohol and gambling and politics start on. Change them whenever you like.
A flagged question shows the warning first, with Show it and Skip. Skipping from a warning never counts against you, and the question doesn't come back. Nothing timed starts until you choose to see it. If a question looks wrong anyway, report it from the question.
