PickFu facts checked on 24 September 2026. Sources: PickFu's public pricing page, documentation, help center and MCP reference. Anything behind PickFu's sign-in (exact per-format prices, template counts) we could not check. Competitor features and prices change, so please confirm on PickFu's site before you decide. We re-check this page on a schedule and whenever either product changes; the date above is the last check.
PickFu is an established tool for quick consumer polls. It has more question formats, deeper targeting, a larger panel and more ways to analyze results than we do. 50heads is newer: it costs less per answer at the prices below, accepts any number of answers within its limits, applies integrity checks to every answer, and has agent safeguards such as spend caps. Here is where each is ahead on the points we checked.
| PickFu | 50heads | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per answer | From $1.00 a person, $15 minimum. Each targeting trait adds about $0.40; click and five-second tests cost more | $0.25 at Tier 1, $0.55 at Tier 2, $1.05 at Tier 3. Images add $0.10 |
| Sizes | Fixed: 15, 30, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300 or 500 (1,000 on Enterprise) | Any number from 10 to 5,000 |
| Speed | Typically 15 in under 15 minutes, 50 in under an hour, 200 or more in 2 to 4 hours | About ten minutes quoted for 50. Rush aims for under an hour at any size (× 1.5) |
| Formats | Head-to-head, ranked, single and multi select, open-ended, star rating, emoji reaction, click test with heatmaps, five-second test, screen recording, round robin, image sets, video, websites and marketplace listing mockups | Single and multi choice, A or B images, pairs, ranking, 1 to 5 scale, yes, mostly or no, and free text, with an image or a 20-second sound clip above the question |
| The why behind each answer | A written reason on every format except screen recording | Free text at Tier 2, or an automatic follow-up asking Tier 2 heads why the winner won |
| Several questions to the same people | Up to 16 in one poll | One question per ask; follow-ups go to new heads |
| Targeting | 15 countries with native-language panels. Age and gender, and 100 or more traits, up to 4 combined | Any country with heads, with pool size bands published. 8 question languages. Age band, gender and about 120 self-declared tags at any tier, up to 4 traits at $0.05 an answer each (PickFu: about $0.40) |
| Reading results | Demographic breakdowns, filters with shareable filtered links, AI summaries and highlights, comments translated into English, rating and pinning answers, and PDF, PNG and CSV exports | The leading option, the margin and how strongly the answers favor it, in plain words, on every result, breakdowns by country, tier and age band, live results, and CSV exports |
| Account and device verification | Partner identity checks, machine scoring of written answers, and an NDA signed by everyone on the panel | Phone-verified at Tier 1, ID and live-face checks at Tier 2 with random re-checks, an Apple or Google integrity check on every answer (we reject answers from devices or app builds that fail it), known-answer questions and a trust team. Screenshots are blocked on question screens; there is no NDA |
| Panel | 15 million or more people | New and growing, published as pool size bands per country and tier |
| For developers and agents | REST API, OAuth, an MCP server with 27 tools, a CLI, a Slack app and Zapier | REST API with required idempotency keys, OAuth with a spend cap per connection, an MCP server with long-running tasks and an Agent Skill, a CLI, signed webhooks and an OpenAPI description. No Slack app or Zapier as of 24 September 2026 |
| Teams | Unlimited seats on every plan, with shared credits and a shared library. SSO and SOC 2 Type II on Enterprise | Team invites and roles; credits and questions are still per person. No SSO or SOC 2 as of 24 September 2026 |
| Pay for the people answering | Not published | Published: 60% of every answer's price |
| Credits | Never expire while the account is active | Expire 24 months after purchase. Unused paid credits are refunded if you close the account |
Where PickFu is ahead
- The why, every time. A written reason comes with nearly every answer, and PickFu summarises them for you.
- More formats. Click tests with heatmaps, five-second tests, video, screen recordings, image sets and marketplace listing mockups have no 50heads equivalent.
- Deeper targeting and a bigger panel. Age, gender and more than 100 traits across 15 native-language panels.
- More ways to read results. Filters, shareable filtered views, AI summaries, translated comments and PDF and PNG reports.
- Teams and enterprise. Shared credits and libraries for every seat, plus SSO, SOC 2 Type II and custom NDAs.
- More integrations. Slack, Zapier and a longer list of MCP tools.
Where 50heads is ahead
- Price per answer. $0.25 at Tier 1 against PickFu's published "from $1.00" per person, and Tier 3 is also below that figure. PickFu's $15 minimum and per-trait prices are in the table; compare totals for your own question.
- Flexible sample sizes. Ask 37 people rather than the nearest fixed size, within our limits. Rush aims for under an hour at any size, but that is a target, not a guarantee.
- Account and device verification. Every answer goes through an Apple or Google integrity check, and Tier 2 adds ID and live-face checks with random re-checks. These checks reduce fraud risk; they do not remove it.
- Agent safeguards. Idempotent asks, a daily spend cap per connection, results that wait on our side instead of polling, and signed webhooks with replay.
- Plain-words results. Every result says which option led, by how many points, and how strongly the answers favor it for a sample of that size. It describes what this group chose, not certainty that the option is best.
- Published pay for the people answering, and a refund of unused paid credits when you leave.
Which to use
Use PickFu when you need the reasons behind every answer, a format we do not have (click tests, video, screen recordings, listing mockups), demographic targeting beyond country, or a team workspace today.
Use 50heads when you want a quick read on one thing (which name, which image, which line) at a price that lets you ask again tomorrow, at exactly the size you need, or from an agent or a script. For the "why", ask the winning option as a follow-up to 20 Tier 2 heads with free text: it is usually cheaper than asking everyone to explain.
